Critical reading

Critical reading is a vital skill if you want to write good essays. Before you can construct an argument in your own writing you must be able to analyse and evaluate the arguments in the texts you are reading. This process can be described as reading like a detective - questioning and making judgements on the texts you are reading. This session will give you some practical tips on how to become a critical reader.
