Everyone is welcome to attend! We’d love for you to join us in Sutherland Building Great Hall celebrating students who identify as women and have experience of working in or studying Engineering. 

Our event celebrates women in engineering in the region’s five universities (Newcastle, Northumbria, Sunderland, Teesside, and Durham).  Help us continue to build a student community that shows solidarity, breaks down barriers, works within a collaborative space, and highlights the work and achievements of women to others.

Event Schedule

13:00-14:00 - Northumbria University event.

A chance to network with staff and students, hear from speakers with different engineering perspectives, and find out more about your thoughts on the future of engineering, Refreshments will be provided.

14:00-15:00 – Multi-university event. Live online session.

We will be joined by students and colleagues from the other 4 Universities. Elizabeth Donnelly from WES (Women s Engineering Society) CEO will open this part of the event which includes a video showreel and a panel discussion where you can gain further insights and ask questions about engineering in the wider context.

If the event hits capacity, priority will be given to those who identify as women and work/ study engineering.
