NEW! AI for researchers In-Person

Can AI really improve your literature search, help analyse your results or get you published? What do researchers need to understand about how AI affects information discovery, authorship and rights?

In this session we will bring together experts from Academic Technology Services, Research Innovation Services and the University Library to explain some of the issues surrounding AI tools for research.

The session:

  1. Does not need knowledge of AI. We will be focusing on skills, rather than specific tools.

  1. Is participatory: share your experiences, or questions.

  1. Is focussed on library skills: including literature searching, licensing and plagiarism, data management and academic publishing.

  1. Presents skills to help inform AI use: we will explain the risks involved in AI use to help you make informed choices about how or when to use it in your research.

This is an interactive workshop where you will need to bring your own device.
