Getting started with your literature review (Online) Online
**Understand what a literature review is, how to approach it, and how to structure it effectively.**
This session is primarily aimed at 1st year PGRs but is open to all researchers.
Session details
Explore what makes a strong literature review, how to find and select sources, and how to organise and present your findings. It’s a great starting point if you're unsure how to begin or want to improve your current approach.
By the end of the session, you will be able to:
- Identify the purpose and features of a literature review.
- Understand different approaches to searching.
- Understand different approaches to writing.
- Organise and structure your literature review effectively.
Session logistics
The session includes a 1 hour taught component followed by 30 minutes for questions and discussion. It is open to all researchers and will be delivered either online via Teams or on-campus (please check when booking). For any questions, please contact the Library.
